Stan Lee Tribute

Hey everyone, it's Josh and this is something that was a long, long time coming. I didn't know Stan or Steve, nor have I met them in passing... but this was the best way, in my mind, to honor them. My best way to honor Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's memories is to have Spider-Man meet Tiger-Man, a character I created as a result of theirs.

Now, I grew up in the early 2000's, so my first exposure to Spider-Man was the Sam Raimi movie in 2002 when I was 7-years-old. Needless to say, I instantly fell in love with the idea of superheroes and I HAD to have my own and as a result of seeing Spider-Man, I created Tiger-Man and began writing and drawing my own comics.

During this time also, I'd visit my great grandparent's once a month and these really flimsy reprints of original issues of The Amazing Spider-Man came with the newspaper. Not only was the idea of Tiger-Man inspired by Spider-Man, but my writing style was directly affected by Stan Lee. Now, 16 years after the first Spider-Man movie, 16 years after the creation of Tiger-Man, he's a hero in a published story. So now, it's time to pay my respects to those who inspired me to get to this point.

Stan, Steve... thank you so much, from the entire Southpaw-Comics Universe... thank you. Sincerely, one of your millions of fans, Josh Malecki.
